Can a manual shift work on a Honda rancher?
The manual shift works though. I’ve had problems with the reverse sensor wire falling off the connector in the past. When I bought the ATV, the rubber boot was missing and the wire was just held on with a metal clip. I used pliers to tighten it on and it has stayed on.
Why is my Honda TRX 350 es not shifting?
When I repaired my friends Honda TRX 350 ES Rancher, it was a broken leveling sensor located at the base of the engine in the front. It was broken in half and so it was not sending a signal to the ECU. So the ECU wouldn’t let the electric shift operate. When I replaced the leveling sensor, the electric shift worked great.

Where is the angle sensor on a Honda rancher?
The angle sensor connector is at the sensor and the shift motor connector runs up on the frame. Just look around in the area the stick was (or could have been) and see if you can find any damage.
