Click to expand… Your brake drum might be wore a lot. You can try removing the brake lever from the cam and rotating it forward a spline or two on the brake cam. I have a suzuki LT250ef it has a sticky brake. Is fixing it anything like your honda thx 400? great post, I had a similar issue where my rancher rear brakes were not working.

The actuator shaft is seized in the rear cover. Remove it and clean it just as Shade explained. I use marine grade grease it’s far better for these machines and this close to the ground. also replace the seal. Once the shaft gets rusted and you sand it you’re actually removing metal therefore increasing the clearance between the seal and shaft.
