The first incident was because I accidently left the interior light on overnight, (my own fault). The last incident was the distributor failing at the 139,000 mile mark. I now have 167,000 miles logged on this car.

Nissan to date has no new motors re builds yes. Nissan is going to take the cheapest way out. Second letter went out Nissan still has no solution. I have been offered a motor Nissan said it would expedite sending it to the dealer. That was the end of June. Still no word.

This Nissan Altima has several features that I love. One of the things I love about this car is the amount of storage space. In the dash, between the seats, seat backs and in the doors there is so much storage. I have room to store all of the necessary items that I might need from day to day.

Every once and a while it has poor acceleration from stop and very occasionally it revs high rpm without shifting. I solve the high rpm issue by stopping, turning the car off and waiting 15 seconds before restarting. The delayed acceleration response might be the drive by wire system which is relatively new in these years of Nissan.
