Is the RM 125 a good bike?
The RM125 is a dream in two stroke performance. It’s quick off the start gate, quick around turns, light as a feather, but still plenty of power off the jumps, in the woops easy to control and power like no other two stroke 125 in it’s class. It handles like you want it to. All in all, it’s a great bike.
What kind of oil should I put in my RM 125?
Any engine oil will do as long as it doesn’t include ‘friction modifiers’. 32:1 is a good mix ratio for fuel/oil. But the smoking is because of the leaking float needle in your carburetor giving you an overly rich mixture (Air/Fuel). Clean the carb and set the float. -BIG DAN
What kind of transmission oil should I run in my 99 rm125-suzuki?
Just wondering what kind of transmission oil I should run. 1999 RM 125. Just bought it and putting new oil in it. Your’re likely to get as many answers as they’re species of plants. I personally use ATF in my gear boxes on 2 and 4-strokes. But really like it in my 2-strokes. It makes for great shifting and clutch fanning recovery on 2-strokes.
