How do you replace a headliner?
Steps
- Pry off all the trim that surrounds the headliner and holds it in place.
- Detach and remove all of the seatbelt covers, lights, speakers, visors and clothes hangers.
- Unclip any clips that are holding the headliner board in place.
- Slide the headliner board out of the vehicle and set it on a flat work surface.

Considering doing this for my 2006 Mark V TDI. Local upholstery place quote: ~ $600 to redo the headliner. Talked about scraping off all the old foam & stuff & replacing fabric. Dealer: still waiting on quote on replacement part for DIY route. Question for the forum: which is the better/most effective route?
