What to do if your steering wheel is not working?
The controls complete the circuit to the steering column via a coiled flat tape with printed wires on it called the “clockspring” rotating contact drum. You must replace that. To do that you need to disarm the airbag system (VERY IMPORTANT) and remove the steering wheel, special tools are required and a fair amount of skill.
