Is there no compression on a 3.4 V6 Aztec?
No compression on 3.4 V6 Aztec, replaced one cylinder head only but did remove push rods etc from both to replace gaskets, also turned the engine over without push rods good compression, left overnight still no compression any one have any ideas I am stumped. Lifters? Sound like you have the push rods in the wrong order.
How do you replace a hydraulic lifter on a rocker?
Check each rod for any damage. With the use of a strong magnet you can then lift out the hydraulic lifters. Place the new hydraulic lifters into the passages and make sure that they can rotate a complete 360 degrees. Place the push rods back into position and tighten the rocker arm assembly.

Do you need to replace the camshaft when replacing lifters?
Mostly old school..! The camshaft does not necessarily need to be replaced when replacing lifters, and often times is not. In the case of a 4 cylinder, especially, I would replace lifters without doing the camshaft since you can replace the lifters without removing the head.
What happens if I don’t replace lifters only?
If you don’t replace all the worn components, the worn items will wear the new components prematurely. They are designed to work together and wear together. If you keep the Jeep for a couple of years, you’ll probably never know the difference, but you move the burden over to the next owner.
