How do you change the battery in a 2007 Lexus ES350?
Out with the old, in with the new:
- Find the location of the battery on your Lexus.
- Find the battery terminals.
- Disconnect the negative terminal in your Lexus.
- Disconnect the positive terminal next.
- Pull out the old battery and put the new one in its place.
- Thoroughly tighten the terminal clamps with a wrench.

Where is the fuse box on a Lexus ECU?
Disconnect negative battery cable. This is the recommended way. It’s the easiest, there’s no risk of getting shocked by the battery, and it requires no special tools. All you need to do is remove and then re-install two fuses. Locate the fuse box under the hood on the passenger side near the strut tower.
Can a Lexus ECU start on the second try?
Don’t be alarmed; nine times out of ten this will happen for everyone, but as long as the battery cables were tightened properly or the fuses were inserted properly it’ll start on the second try. If you used option 3, this is less likely to happen but is still possible.
