How do I identify my TH350?
Look for the vacuum modulator. It will be on the side of the transmission and have a rubber vacuum line attached to it. If this fitting is on the right front of the transmission, you have a TH350. On the similar TH400 it is attached at the right rear of the transmission.
How do I know if I have TH350 or th350c?
Another way to tell the difference between a 350 and a 350C (lockup), is to look at the input shaft. The 350C will have snout with O-ring and a fluid passage drilled down the center for the clutch. The 350 shaft will be solid with a blunt end (no snout/fluid passage).
What vehicles came with a TH350?
The Turbo 350 automatic found its way into Chevrolet Camaros, Pontiac Firebirds and Chewy and GMC trucks. Although the transmission most notably matched GM vehicles with small-block V-8s, it also matched the block-block 396 V-8s, V-6s and the small Iron Duke in-line four-cylinder models.

Where is the kickdown cable on a TH350 transmission?
Look to see if there is a cable running to the side of the transmission, close to where the shifter linkage is located. Verify that this cable runs up to the engine. This is a kickdown cable, and the TH350 transmission has this feature, where the TH400 does not. Locate the stampings on the side of the transmission.
What’s the difference between TH400 and TH350 cable?
The cable is a kick-down cable and the TH350 has this cable whereas the TH400 does not have this feature.
