How big should a caliper retaining bolt be?

How big should a caliper retaining bolt be?

They are supposed to be 12mm. Or at least that was the size originally fitted by the caliper manufacturer. I had to replace one of mine a year or so ago. Perhaps someone has replaced a 12mm with a 7/16th one, which would fit easily as 7/16th of an inch is 11.1125mm. Singvogel. Click to expand…

How big are the retaining bolts on a Land Rover?

Discussion in ‘ Land Rover Freelander ‘ started by chipfork, Nov 11, 2012 . 107 1 Does anyone know what size the caliper retaining bolts are and where they can be found/ordered from? I’m guessing they’re 7/16″ going by the socket that nearly fits on those on my car.

How big of a retaining screw do I need for a switch?

EDIT: Scrap that idea. Doesnt look like you can get them anymore. i always used wood screws you have heard of 1 1/2 x 8 screws i used to have a supply of 1 1/2 x 6 and 2 x 6 they come in countersunk heads that fit flush into the switch or socket and are in silver hope this helps

Which is bigger 3mm or 3.5mm retaining screws?

If the hole seems too big for a 3.5mm it is possible its an old imperial box which were just slighty larger in comparrison the steel lugs on the box are normally stronger than the 3.5mm machine screws and normally only need retapping if box is in at a slant and thus been forced into a cross thread.

Do you need a socket for the rear bolts?

YOU WILL NEED ANOTHER SOCKET FOR THE REAR BOLTS!!! okay with that being said this is the correct socket size ONLY for the front bolts of your GM (chevy,gmc.etc.) 99-and up for pick up or SUV. It sucks having to buy this for $10 and unable to remove the seat due to the other 2 rear bolts being different.
