Does Optifine work with shaders?
Optifine is a Minecraft optimization mod that allows users to load custom shaders & graphics. It can be used to load custom shaders and graphical improvements to change the overall appearance of Minecraft. You can use it to either improve the visuals or improve Minecraft’s FPS by lowering several graphics settings.
Do I need to extract shaders?
Don’t extract/unzipped the file if it already contains a “shaders” foler inside of it. Just drag it in to the shaderpacks folder.
Do you need OptiFine for texture packs?
Because optifine includes features like custom entity models and connected textures that some resources packs require. You can use them without optifine but you’ll be missing out on a lot of features and it could mess up the textures.
Do shaders work 1.8 9?

Can you have shaders and mods at the same time?
simply turn it off and go to your . minecraft folder go to shaderpacks folder , put all your downloaded shaders in there and then just simply put the mods (like OptiFine,bspkrs,DI,etc.) that you want in your mods folder, everything should be done nicely by that!

Does reshade lower FPS?
No. The only way reshade would increase fps is if you disable the ingame shader effects and antialiasing, and then compensate with reshade. For example if a game only had multisampling/supersampling as its AA option, then disabling it and using SMAA or FXAA should improve fps.
