Do I need a IAT sensor?
An IAT or MAT sensor is only necessary if you want to be able to use Charge temp estimate for fueling (used for all fueling modes in latest firmware), or make corrections for abnormal IAT (a great idea). It can really help make fueling more consistent over a wider range of operating conditions.
Can you drive with a bad air temperature sensor?

With the SC kit the IAT sensor is left on the throttle body and thus never reads the “SC heated” intake air temperature. First off, this is bad right?? A lot of the people are having LTFT issues and I think that this sensor location could be (at least part of) the cause. Probable or not??
