I’ve removed my left rear sensor a couple of times. You have to work it out carefully and gently after removing the hold down bolt. Mine was pretty rusted in so some penetrating oil helped. Try twisting it a little. Cleaning it last year reduced the frequency of the VSC/ABS/4WD/Brake lights coming on but I get a 34 code about any time I read it.
