I can not get her past 3000 RPMs! It sounds fine, there’s no unusual vibration, there’s no smoke, and no oily sheen on the water. Not wanted to risk further damage to the engine I abandoned my two day trip before even wetting a line. Right now I’m heading in with the 8 horse kicker at 3.5-4 knots.

The volt meter reading 11.8V does not sound like a spun prop hub or blown up lower end. Pulling plugs and draining lower end tomorrow, should know more then…. Run it off of a deck tank to eliminate fuel issues. It could be a water issue clogging up your filters. Saw the same issue on a 70 about a month ago.

Would not get past 3000 RPM at all. But then, sometimes it would fire right up on to plane and run great. Tried all of the same things you did with regards to gas. Had it in for service, could not figure it out the first few times and ran fine at the shop.
