If its very cheap to fix then yes fair enough fix it, but there is no point ploughing hundreds of pounds into a 12 year old Clio in which case its much better to get rid. just said, remove egr, clean it, replace. start car.

You can find the sensor on the passenger side about 6 inches down from the top of the block. It’s a fiddly job but once you know what it looks like, you’ll find it! For the record, this was on a R reg 1998 clio, old model.

Changing the thermostat on a 2002 Renault Clio 1.2 16v D4F engine. While changing the thermostat its a good idea to flush out the old coolant and replace it. Its not absolutley necessary to remove the radiator you could probably do the same job with it in place but i found it handier to remove it.

I found that the mciroswitch is not making contact due to corrosion and wear on the contacts. Once the key is separated as in the battery replacement process, it is easy to lift the printed circuit board (pcb) out. When the button is pressed, contact should be made across two small spots on the pcb.
