Are Integra Type R rare?
There were a very limited amount of Honda Integra Type R sedans built. And according to Torque GT, this means that it’s one of only 5,135 four-door Integra Type Rs ever made, making it almost as rare as an albino hippopotamus.
What is special about Integra Type R?
At the time, the Integra Type R set the record for the most power per liter (108 hp (81 kW) per liter) of a naturally aspirated piston engine ever produced for the US. This record would later be broken by the Honda S2000 which made 120 hp (89 kW) per liter.
Why did Honda stop making the Integra?
The fourth generation Integra was introduced in Japan on April 13, 2001 and produced from July 2001 to August 2006. In March 2006, Honda announced that the Integra would be discontinued in June after its final 300 cars were sold, due to the shrinkage of the coupe market.
What is a Cali Type R?
The Cali Type R kit used 1997-1999 Acura CL headlights in place of the factory units. It also featured a bumper with a much larger grill opening. As with most fiberglass pieces, the fitment was less than stellar and end-users wound up with misaligned headlights that would sink into the bumper.
