Why is the clock not working on my Toyota Corolla?
I have a 3-year old Toyota Corolla CE. The AM-FM radio and the clock started not working after I used a portable air compressor (which hooked to the cigarette lighter) to inflate the car’s tires. Probably no electricity is going to the radio and the clock.
What to do if your radio is not working in your Toyota Corolla?
Sure the removal of the front console to get at the radio is covered by pics somewhere in this or the Audio forum, you will just have to Search or buy a copy of the Haynes manual for the 2002 onwards model which does details its removal. Not difficult but just a case of knowing how to remove the trim without damaging it.
Why is the clock and radio not working?
Probably no electricity is going to the radio and the clock. But all other equipment works fine, such as fan and air conditioner. Anyone has any suggestions to this problem? Thanks. you’ve blown the fuse, the clock/radio is always the same fuse, usually a 15 amp or 7.5 amp fuse Top Rank Poster! Should be a dome fuse…. maybe.
Where does the radio and cigarette lighter run?
For both you really need to get down to the back of the units and check things out visually for damage and with a multimeter for voltage and continuity etc. The lighter runs just from the 15A CIG fuse. The clock runs from the CIG and DOME fuse. The Radio seems to run mainly from the CIG and DOME as well.
How can I tell if my car has a radio?
If these fuses all test good you will need someone to pull the radio so you can actually check for power at the radio itself. There are two radio possibilities for your car. with or without a power amplifier. You need to check the Cigarette lighter fuse, the dome light fuse and the amp fuse if it has the power amplifier.
Where is the fuse box on a Toyota Corolla?
There is another fuse box located in the engine bay…but this is mainly for ignition and the like. on a corolla it’s under the steering wheel, bottom left if memory serves me right (MIGHT BE WRONG THOUGH ) Top Rank Poster! that’s what was wrong when my clock/radio stopped working, also the leccy mirrors and AC wasnt working either.
