Is it dangerous to have oil in air intake manifold?

A light oil coating is nothing dangerous. It is the first component to look into when the problem occurs although you should not be worried if there is a small amount of oil in air intake. How does oil get into the air filter?

The PCV valve is similar to an engine oil filter in that it eventually becomes clogged with excessive debris (in this case — engine oil) and should be replaced as recommended by your vehicle’s manufacturer.
