We can bash it out of it’s resting position but our mirrors on this side of the pond are mainly non movable. WD40 will be fine to loosen it up if it needs that.

May have been the result of condensation though. To test it remove the switch and measure the resistance across pins 2 and 5 – should be around 900 ohms. Press the fold In switch and it should be around 160 ohms. Press the fold Out switch and it should be around 0 ohms.
