Why is my power tilt and trim not working?
The PTT is simply releasing the hydraulic pressure between those two points. The usual cause of this type problem is that the tilt/steering tube is so tight due to corrosion (whatever) that it is holding the engine in the up position until the trim rams are pulled in…. then hydraulic pressure takes effect.
Why does my Evinrude tilt up but not down?
If the engine has been trailered without having both of the trim rams pulled in, or trailered without even having the engine being supported by the trailering support, it is possible for the PTT to encounter a hydraulic lock up.

Engine in full tilt position. Remove reservoir fill plug screw. Insert a air nozzle up against the reservoir fill hole with rags (or something) packed around it to obtain a tight fit. Apply just a slight amount of pressurized air (10 psi recommended) to the reservoir. This will force the oil under the oil pump to remove the air lock.

What should I do if my trailer tilt does not work?
Pull them apart; they should be clean and tight; reconnect them. Next check the three (RED, BLUE & GREEN) wire connector at the pump assembly. The RED wire in the plug sends 12 volts from the pump assy. to the toggle up/down and trailer up switches. This plug can vibrate loose and cause your problem.

Two Problems. 2009 FX-35 – IntelliCruise Control issues. This as been hapening since delivery of the vehicle – new. The dealer cannot determine the problem. Infiniti has indicated that they have not had any complaints.

What kind of speed does a 2003 FX45 go?
I have a 2003 FX45, recently it started doing some strange things. It will slip into a ‘mode’ where it will not accelerate beyond 15 mph. It does this either at a complete stop or if I’m actually moving along. The car is fine when I’m at speeds beyond 15-20 mph.
Can a steering wheel be adjusted up or down?
The entire steering column needed to be replaced as the steering wheel could be adjustmented in/out but not up/down. I could hear the motor want to go move the steering wheel up/down but unfortunately it would not work. My mechanice replaced the entire steering column.
