Why is my glow plug light not working?
Thought glow plug relay was going bad, easy fix, so did that. Worked fine for a few days, then started up doing the same thing again. Now no glow plug light, car cranks but acts like getting no fuel or spark. Have checked glow plugs – all good. Good voltage on battery. Tried OBDII scanner, but won’t link up with ECM. Have no clue where to go next.

On the water manifold/ t/stat housing is a temp sender this is for the ECM it could be bad and it is telling the ECM the engine is hot and does not need the glow heat. Easy test unplug it and try starting it, unpluged the ECM thinks it is stone cold and it will glow for a long time.

Is there a timer relay for a glow plug?
