Why does the traction control light go out on my ESC?
Pulled into my driveway today and the power steering goes out and the traction control light comes on and service ESC message comes across the message center. Turn the car off and back on and the light goes out, power steering comes back for a second then the light trips again and it’s out again as soon as I turn the wheel.

Came out and started truck and was met with Service Power Steering Drive with Care and Servoce ESC warnings. I tried several times to restart in an attempt to clear the message.

Why does my ESC turn off at 45 mph?
It’s definitely the sensor under the steering wheel, as the system works great until something is tripped that simply shuts everything down. The wheel turn triggers the ESC to turn off. Sometimes mid parking lot. Sometime mid highway on ramp at 45 mph. Some days I can go without having any issues. Other days I can’t get the steering to come on.

What to do if ESC light comes on after battery change?
My stability light came on after changing the battery. If the ESC light stays on after you replace the battery, don’t panic. All you need to do is drive the car for a few minutes and make sure to make several left and right turns. Once the system does a self-check, it should reset the stability light on its own.
Why is the ESC light flashing when I start the car?
Under normal operation, the ESC light should only be on when you start the car for a couple of seconds and then turn it off. If the ESC light is flashing when driving that typically, that means that the system is engaged, and it is trying to keep the vehicle under control. It doesn’t mean that there is something wrong with the ESC system.
