Why does my Lexus RX 400h make a noise?
I recently purchased a 2008 RX400h and I was wondering if anyone has been experiencing a noise coming from somewhere in the front part of the cabin every time the steering wheel is turned? The sound is generally heard when making a right turn. Any ideas of what may be causing this???

I just received word that the RX 400h in our long-term fleet is in the shop. The Power Steering Computer failed. The vehicle has less than 3,000 miles on it. It needs a new computer which is on backorder at the dealer. The vehicle will be in the shop for at least a week.

What kind of battery does a Lexus RX 400h have?
Our 6 mos old 2007 Lexus RX400h has apparently experienced a hybrid battery failure. I’m told that this is an $8000 part and we are the first in-warranty hybrid battery failure that Toyota/Lexus has experienced.

1. Sounds about right on the price. 2. You are not the first. You might be the first RX400h, but you are not Toyota’s first hybrid battery replaced under warranty. Good luck with the replacement and I hope they give you a suitable loaner for the long repair delay. I experienced battery failure in a 2.5 year old RX400h with 29,000 miles.
