Why does my KTM electric bike not start?
Stillsons or multigrips on the fly out gear and turn it. If it slips once the fly out gear has travelled it’s faulty . It’s the most common problem for the engine not turning over and the starter motor revving as normal . I did a post a few weeks ago on these starters.
Is there an electric start on a KTM 250xc?
I’ve got a 2015 250xc two stroke. With 60 hours on it. Got it out of the garage today and the electric start just spins freely once the button is pushed and won’t crank the motor over. I know these bikes are known for starters to play up.

Its the spring and the beans that fail. So, you can get the LC4 sprag for about $70 take it apart and transfer the beans into your sprag on LC8 ….AND save $500. in short its a one way clutch around the crank shaft that grabs the crank shaft like a vise grip only when it is rotated clockwise or counter clock wise I dont remember which.
