’06 Jetta, DSG auto, 180 k on the clock. About 10 or so seconds after starting, while at idle, our engine starts making a low, deep, growling, rattling noise. Sort of sounds like a bad bearing on a wheel, or a harmonic sound which is related a certain RPM. After warming to around 130 degrees the noise stops, and the engine sounds normal.
