Why does my Arctic Cat Prowler keep stalling?
My Prowler got real hot about a month ago after a blown fuse on the cooling fan. Still ran and no problem. After washing it and putting it up for two weeks I noticed it started to stall after warming up some. To date I have drained the tank and put fresh gas in, cleaned out the gas tank vent tube as well as the fuel line.

However, it still makes a crackling sound from the isc when turning off the bike. T verify no problems with the o-ring I started the Prowler and sprayed electrical cleaner on the outside of the electrical connections of the throttle body. No problems until I sprayed it on the isc and it stalled.

It sounds to me that your carbs might be a little gunked up – you mentioned the gas may have been old, so it’s possible that the smaller (idle) jets are slightly plugged up. Fresh fuel might do the trick and/or you could try using a fuel system cleaner and water remover. This problem might ‘solve itself’ with a little time.

Spray carb cleaner on the valve while running, see if the rpm raise’s. If so you have a leak in the valve. That is an expensive little devil! The connector on mine is FUBAR’ed, and I’m still looking for a pigtail to repair it! I jury rigged it for now! We got sidetracked! LOL Sorry Bout That! Crackling like electrical snap?
