Why does my AC blow cold air then hot air?
If your A/C flip-flops from hot to cold and back again, your expansion valve could be failing. The expansion valve distributes the proper amount of refrigerant to your evaporator. If the valve is blocked, the refrigerant flow could be restricted or could be too unrestricted. Your A/C blows warm air.
When does the Central a / C unit blow cold air?
Going through some hot weather that the A/C unit can’t keep the house cool with, so the A/C is running from about 10am through the evening. Why does the AC blow hot air after few minutes?
AC may blow hot air initially for a few minutes, but is not supposed to blow air ‘After’ a few minutes. The AC works by shutting down the compressor when ambient temperature is reached.
What happens when you turn on the AC?
The exact opposite action is happening on the outside. When the AC reduces internal pressure the latent heat lost is emitted towards the open atmosphere to create the lower temp inside.
Why does the air conditioner shut down when the AC is on?

When does the a / C blow cold then hot?
The A/C blows cold for about 10 minutes after I start running it, then it goes hot. I already replaced the cycling switch, and topped off the freon. After I turn the ac off for a while then turn it back on and it blows cold again for a while then hot.
Why does my AC keep blowing hot air?
Recently when running the AC, it will randomly begin blowing hot air instead of cold. After doing this everything seems to work fine for a week or so…then the AC starts blowing hot air again.
What should I do if my a / C does not work?
If it does not work, I turn off the truck, and wait a while, then start it again, it might work. Also, when the fan is working, the a/c starts out cold, and after a while it blows hot, then cold, then hot and pretty soon it just blows hot. It seems to stay cold longer when it is cool outside. When it is hot, it tends to get warm much sooner.
