Why does my ABS unit not go away?
You do not have air that just appeared in the system, this is a ABS actuator fault allowing pressure to bleed past the valves in the actuator. The fault has been known to go away at times when reactivating the abs on gravel or icy roads. If it does not go away you need to replace the very expensive abs unit.
Is it possible to bleed air from ABS module?
It is best to make sure that the rest of the system is free of air first before trying to bleed the ABS module because bleeding the ABS module can be a challenge for someone to do on their own. For bleeding the air out of the brake system itself, it also helps to have a partner.
Is there an industry wide problem with ABS brakes?
There is not an industry wide problem with ABS brakes. The one problem that does arise is when an ABS system is ‘opened’ for any reason. Air can and will get into the system.
Is there a bleeder screw on the front of the ABS pump?
There are 2 bleeder screws a rear and a front. You start with the rear bleeder screw open the valve 1/2 to 3/4 turns and have an assistance pump the brakes until the brake fluid begins to flow, then close the bleeder screw. Repeat as necessary. Then move to the front bleeder screw and follow the same procedure for the front bleeder screw.

How does fluid come out of ABS system?
After they depress the brake you loosen the bleeding valve a quarter turn. This will suck new fluid in and cause some old fluid to come out once old fluid stops coming out close the bleeder and have the person lift their foot off the brake. You repeat this process until fresh, clean fluid comes from the system.
