Why do Coupe windows go down?
It is to protect the edge of the soft top. My last car was a ’92 BMW 3 series convertible which did not have this feature and the top was damaged by the door on both sides. My current car is a Mercedes CLK cabrio and its windows drop as described. It’s a great feature.

I’d of thought u have a faulty door lock . If the car thinks the door lock key is turned to unlock and held there all the windows will open and unlock the car , the same as if u hold the key to lock it will close all the windows and lock the car
