Who owns Snug Harbor?
In 2011 Erik and Tamara Nelson acquired control of the resort and developed a plan to revitalize Snug Harbor. By 2014 all but one of the previous structures, built over the last 50 years, have been replaced with 16 one and two bedroom cabins and a new office and store.

When did Snug Harbor open?
The Snug Harbor Cultural Center opened in 1976 as volunteers raised funds and began programming the center. The first art exhibit at the site opened in November, 1977. Today over 250,000 people a year visit Snug Harbor, enjoying its many amenities.
