Ryoshi Morino (森野亮士, Morino Ryōshi) is the male protagonist of Okami-san and Her Seven Companions series. He is 16 years old and has a crush on Ryoko Okami.

Throughout the entire series, Ryoshi is in love with Ryoko and confesses this to her as early as the beginning of episode 1. Even though Ryoko is seen blushing at almost every mention of his feelings for her, she has no real feelings for him in the beginning of the show.
What is Okami san and Her Seven Companions a parody of?
The title of the anime is a pun for the full title of Snow White and translates to Wolf and the Seven Companions; additionally, Ringo means apple and Ryouko means hero, making their names double puns. Other fairy tale parodies include Cinderella and The Ant and the Grasshopper.

Once the viewer understands the reference then everything becomes clear, however Ookami-san only really works on that basis. Is Okami San worth watching?
Now, while Ookami-san isn’t a truly great show, it’s not actually that bad on the whole. The series has a number of interesting aspects and relationships, and is entirely watchable as long as you aren’t overly critical about it.
