Which is the correct FCR for the DRZ?

Which is the correct FCR for the DRZ?

Ø When trying to find the appropriate FCR you need to inspect for port size. When you hear about 37, 38, 39 or 41mm carbs the referenced measurement is the throat size as measured from the position of the flat slide. See the picture below, this is a 39mm carb. 39mm and 41mm carbs are most commonly adapted to the DRZ.

What kind of carbs do I need for a DRZ?

When you hear about 37, 38, 39 or 41mm carbs the referenced measurement is the throat size as measured from the position of the flat slide. See the picture below, this is a 39mm carb. 39mm and 41mm carbs are most commonly adapted to the DRZ. The smaller the bore the more “torquey” the motor will be. Some have used 37 or 38mm carbs and had success.

What did early FCR carburetors pack with dirt?

Karel Kramer 30 Early FCR carburetors had much poorer accelerator-pump sealing, and the pump membrane could pack with dirt. You can see that only a little dirt has entered this pump and the membrane is in good condition. Karel Kramer

Is the TPS on Keihin FCR necessary or not?

Main question is: are there any ill effects to the engine, if I remove the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) from the carb ? My issue: the TPS on my WR250’s Keihin is broken. I found out by simply disconnecting it. It was the last step on my research as I had problems in acceleration, that felt like ignition failiures.

What do you do with the adjusting nut on a FCR?

The nut is used for adjustments, the screw is to lock the adjusting nut in position. Loosen the lock screw of the slide you are trying to adjust, turn the adjusting nut to set the slide so the drill bit just scrapes under, and tighten the lock screw. Repeat for each slide.
