Just had a oil and filter change for my 2006 Smart CDI at “Mr Lube”, 61 Overlea Blvd near Leaside. (Toronto) Excellent friendly service, used a pump to extract oil through dipstick hole. Changed filter and was very careful not to over fill using Mobil 1 0-40W.
What was the problem with my 2005 Smart Car?
Many suggestions were proposed as to what was wrong, from dead battery, bad grounds, bad starter motor, bad transmission motor. Non of these were the problem. Any really good synthetic will do.Don’t overfill it, 2.7 liters, not 3. 2/3-3/4 up the dipstick warm, no more. Go to a Mercedes dealer (they built the car) or a BMW dealer or even a foreign car service centre. They will change your oil.
