Why is my Smart Car not starting properly?
It happens on smart cars just like other cars. See if you are getting 12 volts to the starter solenoid when the starter fails to engage. The starter relay is built into the SAM unit so it cannot be serviced. If you are not getting 12 volts to the starter solenoid when cranking then the relay could be bad or a bad conection.
