Where is the P-brake on my C240?

Where is the P-brake on my C240?

I just fixed this problem on my ’03 C240. Under the rear seat there is a panel you can remove to adjust the p-brake. The lever that the pedal pulls on starts to rust and the spring can’t pull the lever back all the way.

Are there any problems with the Mercedes C240 4Matic?

I have a 2003 C240 Wagon 4Matic with 59k miles and no major problems. The door actuator went out on the drivers door and one of the tail lights burned out….thats it. I have read that they ironed out a lot of the problems during the first two years of production….or at least I hope they did.

Why does my parking brake not go off?

I have a ’02 c230. The parking brake indicator does not go off when I manually release the brake. Sometimes it does, but other times it doesn’t and then my car makes a BEEPING sound telling me that the emergency brake is not release when it really is. It seems to happen more on cold morning as well.

Where is the parking brake release switch located?

Click to expand… It’s probably a bad switch on the parking brake pedal. It’s a simple plunger-style switch that is depressed when the brake is off and extended when it’s on. The switch is located under the dash, right behind the parking brake release lever.
