Where does the power come from to start a TDI?
For the TDI to start, electrical power needs to flow from the battery through fuses and relays to the key switch and ECU. From the key switch, power needs to flow through more fuses and relays to the start solenoid on the starter and from the ECU power needs to flow to the injection pump.

Any comments on these issues or reliability of CCM in general appreciated. the same thing happened to my 2002 passat…the problem was leakage into the passenger side where the ccm is located. the leakage was due to drain clogs under battery, totalling wetting and distroying the pollen (?) filter and causing the leak….design flaw.
