Where are the fuses for the licence plate lights?
There are no fuses for the 2 licence plate lamps. They are directly connnected to, and electronically protected at their source, at the Rear SAM (N10/2). So are all the other external lamps at the rear. By the way i also checked the wiring to ensure it has not severed… Click to expand…
Where are the fuses on a Mercedes Benz?
May be an easier repair if you have not already done so, check rear lid wiring harness occasionally wires may chafe or break inside hose at rear lid point. Simple enough to check and rule out. BTW should be posting here W209 CLK Class – Mercedes-Benz Forum
Where do I find the 12V DC fuse?
Did you look for 12v dc using a voltmeter. You could have a bad earth on the lamp holder. That’s always the brown wire, and should be a good connection to the chassis. A common earth point is used for a) E19/1 (left licence plate lamp) b) E19/2 (right licence plate lamp) c) E40 (trunk lid ambient lamp) d) E21 ( center high-mounted stop lamp.
Why is my license plate light not working?
Not open for further replies. This is for problems where your license plate bulbs / lamps or just one are good but not turning on. Along with having the license plate warning light on the dash. One snag you will run in to when diagnosing is that no power will be sent to the plate lamps unless the trunk is closed.

Where can I buy a C class fuse box?
You can get a box with lots of fuses on Amazon for about $10. Where are the fuses in the C Class, W204?
