When S&S Sidewinders were introduced in 1978, it was a groundbreaking product. Before that, building a big bore engine was a really involved project. Guys were doing it, but it wasn’t easy. Typically, companies that offered cylinders might not have supplied them with pistons or other parts necessary to complete the installation.

I don’t know that there is just an S&S 107 or Sidewinder Series 107″ I think all 4″ bore S&S motors are denoted as Super Sidewinder.
What’s the difference between the s and S Sidewinder plus?
The Super Sidewinder is a larger case and handles a 4” bore and is only found in a 107” motor. The Super Sidewinder Plus is a a 4 1/8” bore and is even larger case than what the 107 has and is found in a 117”,and the 124”.
