When I pedal my bike the chain slips?
Most of the time, a skipping chain is caused by cable stretch. In the first half dozen rides on a new bike your shift cables stretch the most. They can also stretch over time as you ride. Shift down into the smallest ring in the rear cassette again, and press your shifter again to see if the bike shifts properly.

What to do when your bike won’t shift?
This will increase the tension and solve the problem. If the bike is over-shifting, you will need to tone it down by turning the barrel clockwise (basically, the opposite of what you did to fix the up shifting). You may also be in a scenario where up-shifting is perfect, but when you try downshifting, you are unable to achieve any success.
When does chain slip when pedaling up hill?
