We started in 2008 as a few co-founders and grew into a movement of millions of people taking small steps to create big change. That’s millions of moments, of small steps, where people chose to back Thankyou. Moments like the time our community petitioned Australia’s two largest supermarkets to stock Thankyou products (they said yes!).

In August 2013, it was revealed that Thankyou was giving up to 30 per cent of its profits to Samaritan’s Purse – a controversial evangelical Christian organisation that proselytises in developing countries “with the aim of demonstrating God’s love and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ”.

In 2013, Thankyou launched lines for body care and food that fund hygiene and sanitation programs as well as food security programs. They rebranded from Thankyou Water to Thankyou and launched the Coles and Woolworths Campaign – a digital marketing and social media campaign targeting Australia’s major supermarkets.

If you want to use one word, thanks is acceptable. However, thankyou is not acceptable as a single word. it’s inconsistent though: goodbye is one word while thankyou is not. @Rob Goodbye should be four words, but obviously that wouldn’t work so well.

How much money has been raised for Thankyou?
You might have seen it at your fave brunch spot. With the idea working in Australia, we launched a book titled “ Chapter One ” to crowdfund the launch of Thankyou in New Zealand and beyond. Within two hours of this launch video, we’d raised $360,000, with now over $1.9 million raised and counting.
