I bought a 2005 997 back in August with 25K miles. I did purchase an extended warranty from my credit union, just in case something major failed on the car. My warranty covers me up to 90k miles – cost me about $1500. Put about 4k miles on it and havent had a issue (keeping my fingers crossed).
