What was the problem with my XJ X350?

How to replace the actuator on a Jaguar X350?
Allow about an hour for actuator removal, half an hour for replacement and another hour if the actuator is to be disassembled, lubricated and re-assembled. From within the door lever recess, remove the small round plastic cover with a pick, then the small torx screw underneath. From under the door armrest, remove the 2 torx screws.
How does polarity reversal work on Jaguar X350?
Polarity reversal is used to reverse the motor for locking/unlocking operations. A 3 pin micro switch switches the current from pin 5 to the motor. The mechanism is designed to interrupt current to the motor during part of the unlocking operation during which it ‘free-wheels’ for some as yet unknown reason, possible to reduce noise and vibration?
How often should you change the oil on a Jaguar X350?
If you see any then assume the car is one affected and it’ll come back. As you know the gearbox is sealed for life. It’s generally reccomended the oil is changed every 50k or so to preserve the box. You can buy a kit of everything needed from Bristol Transmissions.
Are there any problems with the Jaguar X350 XJ?
The 4.2 had the old suspension problem, both rear wishbone bushes gone on the back. Jaguar will tell you they have to replace the arm but I have heard you can just replace the bush. Mine was under warranty so didnt care. Also it had a problem with a throttle housing….. that was fairly simple to sort out.

Why does my Jaguar X350 have Pinnt Bubbling?
Pinnt bubbling is cosmetic. It’s been attributed variously to too thin lacquer to save weight and cost, contamination in the aluminium panel from the press used to form it and the use of steel rivets in an aluminium body setting up an electrolytic reaction.
