Hi, thanks for replying, on the Launch software for this model there is no live data (had to use Kia option as it woiuld not communicate on hyundai),tried it on OBD2CAN which shows readings from CTS, Atmospheric pressure sensor etc but no option to look at boost, thanks, Jim.

Car is a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe with the 2.0 CRDT diesel engine. Apparently it can go for a couple of hundred miles ok then has a loss of power and it sounds like its going into limp home mode and not going over 3000rpm.

When driving on an uphill road, the car loses power and is not able to advance at a higher speed than 12 mph, even though I may be fully accelerating. What to do about power loss going uphill?
Go to a Checker or AutoZone or somewhere that does free diagnostics on the CEL. Even though it’s been on forever, it could give us some insight as to a bigger problem. Was there a lot of sludge in there when you changed your transmission filter? I was going to say “clutch” but then you mentioned it’s an automatic so I’ll say “clutches”
