What should the PSI be on a TD42?
Pretty much the same as ZD30. It is kinda normal especially if the engine has reasonably kays travelled, TD42 boosting to 12 psi is OK. What about the smoke? its more noticeable at night with headlights behind me looking in the rear vision mirror…
Do you have GQ issues with TD42 Turbo?
I have GQ with td42 turbo. I’m have issues with cold starts once it does start it will be fine for the day if I leave it sit for the weekend it doesn’t want to start. Can any one help shed some light on what else it could be or what I can do to test to isolate the problem.
What’s the difference between a ZD30 and a TD42?
Yeah geraboxes are same just the ratios are different TD42 as well as the diff ratios are different ZD30 has 4.11 while TD has 4.3. Technically it is only the drive gear set which is different ratio and then makes combined/overall ratios for each gear different otherwise the gears for 1-5 are the same. Drive ….. What’s the problem with my TD42 patrol car?
Am running a line straight from tank to pump and its still doing it, no change. started changing plugs and the front 3 came out easy, the back 3 were allready broken. the stem is still there but the hex has snapped… might have found the problem, except the cruising and stuttering bit.
