Why does my parking sensor on my Mercedes not work?
After reading lots of forum threads and watching youtube videos I thought I may just have a faulty sensor because the issue is intermittent, sometimes my sensors work and other times they don’t.
Why is my PARKTRONIC not working on my Mercedes?
Inspect the front sensors for interference, cleanliness, and proper orientation. FYI – a gush of water, running down the vehicle’s hood over the sensors when the vehicle is braking can cause activation. Dealer can readily identify malfunctioning sensor.
What happens if you accidentally push the parking sensor button?
I reckon the button on the dash ( the second button to the right of the TRIANGLE button) gets accidentally pushed. This turns the parking sensor and beep OFF. I will double check the on/off switch as it could be faulty so that’s a good shout however when it comes to accidentally pressing the button nearly every day, I don’t think it’s that Hi Luke.

How do you turn off the parking sensors?
You need to stick it in reverse, ignition on not started, and go round each one sticking your ear up against it. Just noticed you have them on the front too, don’t know how they are activated but presume it’s nothing to do with being in reverse. The front one’s only activate once 1st is selected. They turn themselves off over 10-15mph.
