What kind of car is a Kia Carnival?
I purchased a 2004 Kia Carnival after it had blown a head gasket at 35k. I was informed that the inlet valves had been enlarged. Since then the car has completed 300k plus km, and other than air conditioning failing due to a hole under the dash, this car has been lucky to have had up to $1000 dollars worth of parts spent on it.
Where did I take my Kia Carnival 2005?
Two trips to Bundaberg, twice along the Great Ocean Road, once around Tassie, and many trips to Melbourne and Gold Coast, my Carnival has never let me down. Not light on petrol though, even with judicial use of the go pedal. I can happily report that my 2005 is still running faultlessly.
How much does a Kia Carnival kV cost?
After Spending $2000 to get timing belts, oil pressure gauge, switch, all gaskets and complete new brakes in the rear (New Drums, the lot) 7 weeks down the road I have complete engine failure with a minimum price to fix of $13,000, not including towing etc. It would be cheaper to buy another car (not that that is even possible).

What did I do with my 2004 Kia Carnival?
04 Carnival LS – put it in reverse at the supermarket. The shift went loose and floppy in my hand, one of the cables had snapped. Had to push it out of the park bay, then pushed the selectors on the gearbox to get it in a forward gear and managed to get home in 4th gear; just about cooked the clutch trying to take off at stop signs and lights.
Is the Kia Carnival a good family car?
Yes Hi, I own a KIA Carnival built Aug 2004 and passed compliance in Australia 1/2005. I’m the second owner. The vehicle has 198000 on the speedo now. The only faults I have had are the starter motor, the thermostat housing and the thermostat pipes. Apart from that it goes great. A great family car.
