What is the problem with my Outlander 400?
The problem is on my Outlander 400 2005. I had a similiar problem with my 400 outlander and found it to be a broken wire very close to the black electrical actuator, once i repaired it all started working again.

Can you shift in and out of 4WD on an ATV?
You can shift in and out of 4wd while you’re moving . Just make sure you’re not spinning or under load. Tip of advice: Maybe you misunderstood manos, do NOT move the atv while engaging the 4wd, only after! You can break the actuator pindle (i think it’s called that).
Is there a problem with the 2WD / 4WD switch?
But now on the other hand my light indicator on the speedo cluster is not lighing up for the 4X4 like it is suppose to, but I can still hear the actuator engaging the 4X4. So if anybody has any Ideas on that it would be appreciated. i just get an 400 MAX XT (4/2005) and i recognized an problem with 2WD/4WD switch.
How to fix a 2009 Outlander 800 4×4 problem?
Raise the rear end and start the bike . Engage 4wd and see if the front prop shaft will rotate with light throttle. If it does , your diff is smoked . Why is my Outlander 4 wheel drive not working?
After a recent ride I discovered the 4 wheel drive would not engage. The indicating light comes on and off and there is no mechanical noises how ever putting it on jack stands it is not pulling. Any info or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Why did my Outlander lose its 4×4 shaft?
The loss of 4×4 happened after I became EXTREMELY stuck a little while back. The old cv belt roasted and haven’t had 4×4 since. I have replaced cv belt and it moves no problem but 4×4 is a no go. Appreciate the advice and will check it out and see if the shaft came apart inside.
