Why is BA livery called Chatham dockyard?
It takes its name from the Historic Dockyard, Chatham, Kent. Based on the original flag used by Admiral Nelson in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, the Chatham Dockyard livery was created for BA by the Admiral’s Original Flag Loft factory in Chatham which had made flags for more than 400 years.
Why is it called Negus livery?
The Negus & Negus livery, taking its name from the design agency responsible for it, was the first BA livery following the merger of BEA and BOAC. The livery was intended to combine elements of both BEA and BOAC’s identity. It featured BEA’s signature red and a quarter Union Jack on the tail fin to reflect BEA.
What is British Airways Landor?
The Landor Boeing 747 was one of three jumbo jets that received a special livery to celebrate 100 years of British Airways’ history. Registered as G-BNLY, it is the only aircraft out of BA’s three retro jets that now wears the livery it was delivered in. The aircraft was withdrawn from use on March 23rd, 2020.

Where are the BA 747 going?
A retired British Airways Boeing 747 plane is set to be converted into a cinema and educational facility in Gloucestershire. The jumbo jet will also be used as a conference venue, museum and visitor attraction when it goes on display at Cotswold Airport, near Kemble, next spring.
