The UV-82HP comes with a much nicer manual than the UV-82 I ordered previously, but as far as I can tell the only functional difference is the high power, 7w on 70cm and 8w on 2-meter. The UV82HP does have all these features, plus it is built on the latest chipset from the manufacturer.
