What does putting thieves on your feet do?

Is thieves cleaner better than Lysol?
Smith compared bacteria growth over seven days in Bleach, Lysol and a combination of essential oils mixed to make what’s called Thieves oil. In a similar experiment, she found both pure thieves oil and bleach killed bacteria. However, she says Lysol did not preform as well as a disinfectant.
